On 7th February two pupils from Christ the King (Aimee Grace and Riley) and two pupils from St Cuthbert’s joined hundreds of other people at Lancaster cathedral to visit and worship the Dowry of Mary statue. It had travelled from Walsingham. The statue is undertaking a tour of the country as part of the rededication of England as “Dowry of Mary.” The statue also known as England’s Nazareth.
The children joined friends from St John Vianney and St Teresa’s to travel in a bus to the city. Children then enjoyed time in quiet prayer, a view of the statue, a tour of the cathedral and a visit to some exhibition exhibits. This was followed by an al fresco lunch. It was a super way to end the week. Thank you to all who supported the event.
