On the 16th April 2019, Blackpool & Lancashire Local Authorities will inform parents of the primary school their child has been allocated to. Not all parents will necessarily receive their first choice of school. For September 2019, the full allocation of 30 pupil places has been made at Christ the King & St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Academies. If your child has not been allocated a place at Christ the King or St. Cuthbert’s and you would like to try to secure a place for them please follow the process below. We would strongly advise you not to reject the place at the school your child has been allocated until you hear the outcome of the Appeals process.
What a wonderful set of costumes were on show at school yesterday. From Fantastic Mr Foxes to Gangsta Grannies the children’s efforts were again impressive. The home made costumes in particular stood out this year. Our Literacy team have worked very hard in recent weeks to ensure that the day was a real success. Some of the activities are captured in the images. The Soundscape assembly was today. Children performed a chosen book and acted out their choice focussing on sounds throughout the story. Please ensure that your child has taken home their free book (vouchers were exchanged for real books in school this year). If you would like an additional £1 book voucher there were a few left in school yesterday. Pop into the office to collect one of the last few. 2 winners in each class were chosen for “best costume”. A huge well done to: Lian Ross & Isaac Schuller, Nursery; Kayleigh-Mae Staton & Logan Robinson, Reception; Jack Morgan & Mia Gardner, Year 1; Heidi Powell & Lena Solokowska, Year 2; Aiden Nuttall & Ruby Rawcliffe,Year 3; Joao Pelaio & Jaelan-Joel Ayres, Year 4; Macie Robinson & Olivia Busby, Year 5; Freya Saxon & Kelsey Tonner, Year 6.
Our annual event took place this week. What a delight the event was. It was so well attended by families and friends of our school. May I take this opportunity to thank Mr Flannigan-Salmon, Martyn, Eniola and Mrs Kenyon for all of their hard work and promotion of signing in our school. We are first class! Our school has raised £185.84 look out for an article in the Evening Gazette next week, hopefully sharing some of the images photographer Dan took on the day. If you wish to continue to make donations, please do so before next Friday when our final total will be sent to the charity.
