Last week, our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils gathered for a joyful celebration to mark the feast of Pentecost. The atmosphere was one of excitement and reflection as the children explored the significant symbols associated with this foundational event in the Christian calendar.
The children took part in a symbolic ceremony, blowing out candles to represent the “tongues of fire” that rested upon the disciples, and remembering the powerful wind that filled the room during the very first Pentecost. It was a wonderful way for our youngest learners to connect with the story of the Holy Spirit’s arrival and the courage it gave to the early followers of Jesus.
The highlight of the festivities involved a spirited rendition of “Happy Birthday” dedicated to the Church. To make the occasion truly special, our new catering team, Innovate, provided an impressive selection of delicious buns. We would like to extend a massive thank you to the Innovate team for their hard work and for contributing such high-quality treats to our celebrations. Their support helped ensure that the day was a memorable experience for all the children involved.
