Representatives from Christ the King’s CAFOD club and children from years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 attended a special celebration mass at St Cuthbert’s Church on Thursday. The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord provided a timely opportunity for our SCCA KS2 pupils to perform extracts from their carol service along with a goodbye to a long serving member of staff at the school – Mrs Catherine Richardson. CTK pupils joined the event as a special award was unveiled at the end of mass. An award that will be given to two pupils in each school, in May and October each year recognising pupils that live out their faith in a quiet, humble, practical and visible way. More details on the award will be shared in later newsletters, as we approach the month of May. Two children from SCCA were presented with the first award by Mrs Richardson herself and our Christ the King pupils will return to school next week to share the award message with the rest of the school. A great congratulations to Noah and Julia!
