Last Monday evening, the Blackpool Tower lit up in bright yellow to mark National Hygiene Week — a celebration raising awareness of hygiene poverty and the vital work of the Blackpool Hygiene Bank.
St Cuthbert’s is proud to be the local base for the Hygiene Bank, distributing donated hygiene products to 14 community partners, including Christ the King.
To mark the occasion, some of the SCCA Dance Group performed a fantastic routine on the Comedy Carpet to help raise awareness of this important cause. A big thank you to all the staff and parents who came along to support — and a special mention to Bella and Tegan from Year 5, who proudly represented Christ the King. The dancers looked brilliant in their bright yellow tops!
We are always grateful for donations to support the Hygiene Bank. If you have any unused toiletries you’d like to contribute, please send them into school for Miss Martin (CTK) or Mrs Lee (SCCA) — every item makes a difference.
