After an early alarm, car ride, train ride and two tube rides, group of Year 5 children at St. Cuthbert’s and Year 6 children at Christ the King made it safely to Wimbledon. The children explored the grounds including the many outside courts, order of matches and results boards. They then sat down ready on Court No1. and watched Ons Jabeur defeat Mirjam Bjorklund 6-1 6-3 2 and Carlos Alcaraz defeat Jan-Lennard Struff 4-6 7-5 4-6 7-6(3) 6-4. Unfortunately, the children had to miss the third match as they would miss their train home! The children enjoyed a tasty Nando’s tea and made it back home safely at 10:30! The children were brilliantly behaved on the day and were excellent role models for their school!
